“Ninety percent of the game is half mental.” – Yogi Berra
“You have to train your mind like you train your body.” -Bruce Jenner
As an aspiring sports psychologist, my professional journey is driven by a deep commitment to unlocking the full potential of athletes through a holistic approach to mental well-being. I hold a Master of Science in Psychology of Sport and Exercise from the German Sport University. This academic background, coupled with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the intricate interplay between psychology and athletic performance. I am dedicated to empowering athletes to cultivate mental resilience, enhance focus, and navigate the psychological aspects of competition. As a former student-athlete, my goal is to foster a positive and supportive environment, enabling athletes to thrive both on and off the field. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my expertise and passion for sports psychology to make a meaningful impact on the mental well-being and performance of athletes.
As a component of my master’s thesis, I extensively engaged with an innovative methodology known as “The Work.” This transformative approach, inspired by the principles outlined in Byron Katie’s book, entails a straightforward yet potent process of self-inquiry. The methodology guides individuals to recognize and challenge thoughts that underlie the root of all human suffering. Through The Work, one learns to discern and question these thoughts, ultimately gaining insights into the sources of personal distress. It serves as a valuable tool for understanding and confronting challenges with a heightened sense of clarity.
The Work encompasses three distinct steps. If you’re intrigued by this technique and believe it could enhance your athletic performance, consider booking a session with me. Together, we can delve into The Work, exploring its transformative potential and applying it to your specific needs. Let’s embark on this journey of self-discovery and performance improvement together.
