I am Simone Sparascio and I am a licensed clinical and sport psychologist. I have been working with professional and amateur athletes for over eight years combining both clinical and scientific approaches in the applied field. I worked as researcher in sport psychology at the German sport university of Cologne, more specifically at the department of performance psychology. Here, I learnt about the heart rate variability/parasympathetic activity as well as breathing techniques which I started to implement in the work with athletes. As a result of different and mixed approaches, my expertise now ranges from clinical psychology techniques, to more specific sport oriented approaches both finalized to enhance performance, manage stress and anxiety, evaluate the training load, analyze and prevent overtraining and overreaching, apply visualization and mental imagery techniques and so on.
